Chantal Bryan, 40, knew her son Jonathan, 12, couldn’t speak, but she had a gut instinct there was a way to communicate with him… My son Jonathan started secondary school last year, and like any parent, I was anxious. But I needn’t have worried – he’s already a bit famous there. He came home recently and told me about some boys being jealous of the attention he got from Year 8 girls! Jonathan is bright – cleverer than me – and his poetry is amazing. But he’s not a wise sage all the time, he’s a naughty 11-year-old underneath it all, who is fun to be with. Some Nigerians have identified areas the organizers of the ongoing Big Brother Naija, BBN, reality TV show are not doing well. The third season of the show tagged “Double Wahala,” commenced some weeks ago with 20 contestants competing for a N45 million prize and a brand new SUV. Some of the viewers of the programme told the News Agency of Nigeria that the show was “an insult to their intelligence as it promotes immorality among contestants.” They condemned how the housemates were kissing each other as if they had been legitimately married. Mrs Olabisi Afolabi, a mother of two teenagers said, “BBNaija becomes addictive when one indulges in watching it. “I always engage my children in productive activities while the show is on. “My children are under eighteen. Nigeria’s famous movie producer and actor, Femi Ogedengbe has addressed a lot of issues affecting the country in a video that has gone viral. The former actor who now works as a security guard in the United States called out the youths shaming him for his new job and said he makes better money from it than he did as an entertainer in Nigeria. Qualifying exam for 2018 Cowbellpedia Mathematics Competition holds February 17

The qualifying examination for the 2018 Cowbellpedia Secondary School Mathematics Television Quiz Competition is set to hold on Saturday, February 17 at designated centres nationwide. Already, secondary school authorities across the country are besieging the Cowbellpedia Registration Portal to enlist their students for the competition as the February 11 deadline draws closer. According to Abiodun Ayodeji, Marketing Manager of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, sponsors of the event, registration for this year’s Cowbellpedia competition is strictly online via the website: www.cowbellpedia.ng , and it is absolutely free.Each participating school, he further explained, is entitled to put forward five candidates who must be between 10 and 18 years old for each of the junior and senior categories.
