Mum, With Abnormally Large Legs Due To Chronic Illness Refused Liposuction By NHS

  A mum-of-two says she is raising awareness about her chronic illness so other people don't end up with legs like her. Zoe Pearce, 29, is living with lipoedema, an abnormal build-up of fat cells which can affect various parts of the body. The condition causes inflammation, pain and discomfort, reports  Teesside Live . Zoe, from Billingham, County Durham, was diagnosed in 2015 and applied for liposuction in the NHS in 2019 - but was turned down. She is now trying to share information about lipoedema through charity work and her Instagram page to help others. Zoe said: "It can’t be changed with diet or exercise, it can only be removed from your body through a special kind of liposuction. "It can feel heavy, tingly, fizzy, not very nice, it can be painful as well." But she said there are things you can do to manage the condition, such as being active. A Dedicated Terminal Has Opened At Heathrow Airport

  Now, in the last few hours, a dedicated terminal for anyone arriving on a flight from any of the 43 nations on the government's red list has opened at Heathrow Airport. It follows criticism from passengers returning to the UK from either red, amber or green list countries that were being forced to queue in arrival halls altogether. When international travel restarted last month, some couldn't wait to get away, while this was the view in departures and arrivals, passengers from Green List, a low risk countries queued up in the same hall as arrivals from high risk red list countries. Since mid-February, all arrivals from Red List countries have had to stay in quarantine hotels for 10 days to stop the spread of variants of concern. But before they go into isolation, some spent hours queued up alongside other lower risk passengers. A Vigil For A Flower Seller Stabbed To Death By The Store He Ran For 40 Years.

  A vigil was held in north London last night for a much loved flower seller who was stabbed to death close to his store on Saturday. Described as the flower mound of Islington, Tony Eastlake was a well known face in his local community, having sold flowers in the same area for 40 years. ast night, dozens gathered to pay their respects to who they call the loveliest man to ever sell them flowers.
