California Calls For Blood Donation Amid "Increase In Covid19 Cases"

The California Department of Public Health on Saturday released a request for blood donation as  state battles "increase in Covid19 cases" ".   "Blood centers are in urgent need of all blood groups right now with the increase in Covid19 cases," the department tweeted on Saturday.  The state took a sad step on Friday when it reported 585 Covid19-related deaths, the highest on record.   Additional medical personnel, including members of the National Guard  and United States Army and Air Force health care providers, were mobilized to provide assistance to the overrun.

Florida Reports More Than 31,000 New Cases Of Covid19 On Saturday

  After the Florida Department of Health did not release a Covid19 report yesterday in recognition of the New Years holiday, another 31,518 cases of Covid19  were reported in state today, according to ministry data.   There are 1,354,833 total cases of Covid19  in the state, the Florida Covid19 data dashboard showed.  220 new coronavirus-related deaths were also  reported on Saturday, bringing the total number of deaths in the state to 22,210, according to the state's health department.   According to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, there are currently 6,701 people hospitalized with Covid19 in the state.
