Boris Johnson Will Visit Ukraine For Talks As Worries of A Russian Invasion Grow.

Image
Boris Johnson will visit Ukraine later this month for discussions with the president, amid growing fears of a Russian invasion. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom committed to cooperate with Volodymyr Zelensky to find a diplomatic solution to the Russian dispute and "prevent additional bloodshed." Near Russia's border with Ukraine, Russia has gathered an estimated 100,000 troops, tanks, artillery, and missiles. His government, on the other hand, has cautioned Ukraine not to take any further steps toward joining Nato, claiming that doing so would jeopardize Russia's own security. The United States has rejected this proposal, and Western countries have threatened to ratchet up penalties against Moscow if an invasion occurs. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said legislation was being prepared to target a broader range of persons and businesses linked to Mr Putin, while a US official said the penalties would cut anyone connected to the Kremlin off from the international

Newcastle signed two Premier League defenders, while Manchester City and Burnley spent over £10 million on forwards. As she faces federal terrorism charges, the family of a US woman suspected of directing an Islamic State squadron and planned strikes on American soil wants no contact with her. Prosecutors informed Allison Fluke-Ekren on Monday that a large portion of her family has asked that she not speak to them. Ms Fluke-Ekren, 42, is accused of instructing women and children in Syria on how to use firearms and suicide vests. She might be sentenced to up to 20 years in jail. According to authorities, the former Kansas resident was the leader of Khatiba Nusaybah, an all-female IS battalion stationed in Raqqa, Syria, the group's de-facto capital. Ms Fluke-principal Ekren's function inside IS, according to a prosecution complaint, was to educate women and children how to use weaponry ranging from AK-47 rifles and grenades to suicide vests. Ms Fluke-Ekren is also suspected of planning and recruiting agents for a future attack on a US university campus, according to police. She allegedly inform

In The Murder Case Of Ahmaud Arbery, A US Judge Rejected A Hate Crime Plea Agreement.

A plea deal between federal prosecutors and two of the three white men convicted of murdering black jogger Ahmaud Arbery was rejected by a US judge. District Judge Lisa Wood stated that she was unwilling to be constrained by the clause that permitted them to serve their sentences in a federal jail rather than a state prison. Her decision comes after Travis McMichael revealed for the first time that chasing Mr Arbery was motivated by race. The arrangement has been described as "devastating" by Mr Arbery's mother. In November, Travis and Gregory McMichael, as well as their neighbor William Bryan, were found guilty of his murder. The three were also facing a new federal trial for hate crimes, to which they had all pled not guilty. The trial was supposed to start next month. However, according to court filings, US federal prosecutors reached a plea agreement with the McMichaels on Sunday. Mr Arbery's mother, Wanda Cooper-Jones, vehemently opposed the deal, saying it was &

Sue Gray has blamed a "lack of leadership" for allowing parties to take place in Downing Street during a state of emergency. The top civil servant says some incidents "should not have been allowed to take place" in his long-awaited findings. Ms Gray looked into 16 different gatherings, including three that were previously unknown. As he faced questions and criticism from MPs, Boris Johnson stated that he fully accepted the results. According to Ms Gray's findings, the Metropolitan Police is examining 12 instances over eight dates for alleged Covid rule violations. The PM has apologized for attending the "bring your own booze" reception in the Downing Street garden on May 20, 2020, and the PM's birthday celebration on June 19, 2020. A party at Mr Johnson's Downing Street flat on November 13, 2020 is also being investigated by the police. Mr Johnson said he would not give a "running commentary" on something that was being probed by the
