California Calls For Blood Donation Amid "Increase In Covid19 Cases"

The California Department of Public Health on Saturday released a request for blood donation as  state battles "increase in Covid19 cases" ". 

 "Blood centers are in urgent need of all blood groups right now with the increase in Covid19 cases," the department tweeted on Saturday. 

The state took a sad step on Friday when it reported 585 Covid19-related deaths, the highest on record. 

 Additional medical personnel, including members of the National Guard  and United States Army and Air Force health care providers, were mobilized to provide assistance to the overrun.
