Trump tweeted that Iran "will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before" if it threatened the US. Mr Rouhani earlier said that war with Iran would be "the mother of all wars". In May, the US left a deal which curbed Iran's nuclear activities in return for the lifting of international sanctions. President Rouhani's comments, made to Iranian diplomats, did leave open the possibility of future good relations with the US. "America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars," he said, according to Iran's state news agency Irna. Terrible shooting occured in Toronto area

A gunman has opened fire on a busy area in Toronto, killing a young woman and injuring 13 other people, one of them was injured critically, police say. A girl of 8 or 9 years was critically injured in the Canadian city's Greektown district, they said. The attacked happened on Danforth Avenue on Sunday evening, when the area was teeming with people, Canada's Globe And Mail newspaper reports. The suspect is dead, reportedly killed in an exchange of shots. The motive for the shooting, which reportedly targeted a restaurant, is still unclear. Eyewitnesses say they heard rounds of shots, with pauses in between. "It would shoot, there'd be a pause, we heard more shooting, and then a pause and then more shooting," John Tulloch, who was walking on the avenue with his brother at the time, told the paper. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warned President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to “mistake the rigging in Ekiti as acceptance by Nigerians”. PDP warned that it will not allow such rigging during the 2019 Presidential election.
