Teenager whose weight dropped to just 5st beats anorexia to become fit and healthy personal trainer



A brave teenager who battled anorexia has overcome to disorder to become a healthy fitness instructor.

Vera Schulz's weight dropped to just five stone while she was in the grip of the devastating eating disorder.

The 18-year-old fainted frequently due to a lack of energy and was struggling with her schoolwork.
In 2014, the schoolgirl, from the city of Stavropol in south-western Russia's Stavropol Krai region, had dropped to a critical weight of just 33kg (five stone).

But the teenager has now won her anorexia battle and is a successful personal trainer.
Vera charted her recovery on her Instagram account and now weighs a healthy 60kg (9.44 stone).

She said: "I was suffering from a lack of air, I was regularly fainting. Back in the day, I lived on the fifth floor, and I needed about an hour to get up there, as there was no lift."

Her family did not notice she was dramatically underweight and she was allowed to carry on starving herself.

But a few years ago, Vera discovered her love for using the gym. She began building muscle and learned to accept and love her body.

Now she is a successful fitness trainer, who knows how to develop a successful nutrition program.
In addition to that she is capable of supporting her clients from a psychological point of view, as unlike many others, she knows what it feels like to struggle.

She stresses that all the problems and self-consciousness girls go through start from the outside and are usually pushed by external factors.

But one identified as 'alina' said: "It kinda annoys me that every chick that lost or gained weight thinks she is a pro. You need an education for that."
