In Scotland, The Rules On Distance And Face Masks Have Been Relaxed Even More.
Distancing rules and the wearing of face masks in some situations are being loosened.
It comes after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced on Tuesday that a "improved situation" has allowed further Covid restrictions to be eased.
Adults participating in organized events with children under the age of five will no longer be obliged to wear face masks.
Face-covering exemptions that previously required a two-metre physical separation will be reduced to one metre as of Friday.
Exemptions apply in specific indoor situations, such as for receptionists and religious service leaders.
In December, the two-metre separation restriction was implemented in response to the emergence of the highly contagious Omicron strain.
The number of confirmed Covid cases in Scotland has dropped from around 13,500 per day on January 12 to around 7,500 on Thursday.
The number of persons in hospital with Covid has also been decreasing, down from 1,571 on January 19 to 1,319 today.
Ms. Sturgeon said on Tuesday that the "much improved situation" had given the Scottish government "confidence" to lift the majority of the remaining safeguards put in place before Christmas to slow the spread of Omicron.
New regulations that caused nightclubs to close in Scotland and limited audiences at huge indoor events have already been abolished.
The necessity to work from home will be eliminated beginning next week.
