Boris Johnson, The Prime Minister Of The United Kingdom, Spoke With Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

This afternoon, the Prime Minister spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

President Zelenskyy was briefed on the latest developments on the ground, and Prime Minister Zelenskyy expressed his respect for the Ukrainian military forces' valor and success in repelling Russia's onslaught.

The bombardment of civilian places, particularly the siege of Mariupol, he warned, is unjustifiable and requires an international response.

The Prime Minister stated his desire to utilize tomorrow's G7 and NATO summits to intensify pressure on Vladimir Putin's administration and to work with partners to increase defensive lethal aid to Ukraine significantly. Leaders would try to meet Ukraine's demands and put President Zelenskyy in the best possible position in the upcoming peace talks.

President Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed to keep in touch in the coming days.
