Alec Baldwin Has Stated That He Will Cooperate With The Investigation Into The Shooting Of 'Rust.'
Alec Baldwin stated on Saturday that any claims that he hasn't cooperated with the inquiry into the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of "Rust" last October are false.
Baldwin addressed the problem with his cellphone in a video he shared to Instagram.
"Any notion that I am not complying with requests, orders, demands, or search warrants regarding my phone" is "a lie," Baldwin, 63, said in the video, which was shot while he was sitting in the driver's seat of a car. He didn't specify who, if anyone, was suggesting that he comply.

Authorities don't have the phone, according to Baldwin, because they need to go through the legal means to obtain it, which are more onerous for a person who lives in another state.
On December 16, the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department issued a warrant for the phone.
In a statement released Thursday, Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said her office and the sheriff's department are working with the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, as well as Baldwin's lawyers, to "get any materials from Mr. Baldwin's phone that relevant to the investigation."
The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department stated in a statement Saturday that it received a request from Santa Fe authorities for "help in retrieving Alec Baldwin's phone."
The message read, "This request has been referred to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office to iron out the variances in statutes between NM and NY."
