On New Year's Eve, Hundreds Of Amazon Shipments Were Discovered Dumped In Oklahoma.

Authorities say they discovered over 600 Amazon packages dumped outside Oklahoma City on New Year's Eve that were scheduled to be delivered by Christmas.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office, the items were located in a remote location about 30 miles northeast of the city.

According to the sheriff's office, tracking information showed that the shipments departed an Amazon location and were meant to be delivered to a USPS facility.

The sheriff's office stated, "Someone had removed the goods they desired and dumped the remainder." "(Apparently the thief isn't a big reader...the books that were supposed to be delivered were left behind.)"

The following was added to the post: "Please do not contact us if you are missing a package. We're working with the USPS and have contacted Amazon, so you should hear from someone soon."

Several customers commented that their misplaced Christmas gifts were most likely transported with the freight.

Amazon declined to comment further, stating that the corporation is working closely with the sheriff's office.
