Jamie Wallis, A Member Of Parliament, Comes Out As Trans And Claims To Have Been Raped
An MP claimed on Twitter that he was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, had been the victim of rape and blackmail, and had fled the scene of a vehicle accident.
"I am trans, or to be more accurate, I aspire to be," Conservative Jamie Wallis stated.
The Bridgend MP claimed he was blackmailed by a man who sent images to his family in April 2020 and raped by a man in September.
"Since then, things have gone downhill. "I'm not doing well," he wrote.
Last year, Mr Wallis was arrested on suspicion of driving while inebriated when a car collided with a lamppost on Church Road in Llanblethian, Vale of Glamorgan.
"On the 28th of November, I crashed my automobile and fled the scene. Because I was scared, I did so "he penned.
He stated that he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder.
"I honestly have no idea what I was doing except that I was terrified. I apologize if it appears that I 'ran away,' but that was not the case at the time."
He added in a Twitter message that he has been "I've had gender dysphoria since I was a toddler, and I've felt this way ever since.
"I had no intention of ever telling you about it. Before I ever said it out loud, I always envisaged myself leaving politics."
"In April 2020, I came dangerously close to being blackmailed, outed to my father, and photographed by other family members.
"He demanded £50,000 in exchange for his silence. The cops were quite helpful and understanding, and the system worked in this case."
The individual pled guilty and was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison, according to Mr Wallis.
He stated, " "For a while, it appeared like I would be able to get things done and move on. Being an MP and concealing something like this was always going to be difficult, but I believed I was up to the task.
"I'm not," she says.
