Liverpool Defeats Chelsea In The Premier League, A Last Round Of Shooting

Liverpool is still chasing a historic quadruple after winning the FA Cup in a penalty shootout against Chelsea at Wembley.

Jurgen Klopp's side duplicated their Carabao Cup final success from February, with Alisson saving Mason Mount's penalty and Kostas Tsimikas securing Liverpool's second title of the season.

The Reds are still in the Premier League championship chase and will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

With the brilliant Luis Diaz and Andrew Robertson hitting the woodwork, Liverpool had the better of an entertaining final, though it may come at a cost with Mohamed Salah coming out hurt in the first half and Virgil van Dijk going off after 90 minutes.

Chelsea and manager Thomas Tuchel have lost three FA Cup finals in a row, despite having chances - Marcos Alonso hitting the post and also being denied by Alisson - and become the first team to lose three in a row.

When Edouard Mendy saved Sadio Mane's penalty in the FA Cup final, when the Liverpool forward only needed to score to win, it appeared for a little time that the Reds' quest for four trophies would be jeopardized.

Even though Salah went down with what appeared to be a muscular injury before halftime and Van Dijk did not return for extra time, Liverpool had defeated a ferociously disciplined and determined opponent once again.

It's unclear how serious those issues are, but it appears that Liverpool can overcome most of the challenges they face right now, even if they had to rely on penalties to win their first FA Cup since 2006.

Front-line NHS employees in England are required to be completely vaccinated by April 1st, which means they must have their first dosage by Thursday.
