Boris Becker responds to 'clearly racist' AfD tweet

Image
Boris Becker has said an Alternative for Germany (AfD) MP accused of posting a "clearly racist" tweet about his son must now face "consequences". The German tennis champion said that an attempt by Jens Maier to distance himself from the post was a "trick". It comes after a tweet posted on the far-right politician's account referred to Noah Becker as "little half-negro". Noah Becker has an African-American grandfather on his mother's side. Mr Maier denies writing the tweet. The post has since been deleted from the Twitter account linked to Mr Maier, who has blamed one of his staff members. In a column written for the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Mr Becker said the denial by Mr Maier was a common response from members of Germany's AfD party. "That's what the AfD always does; it's their trick: put something out there in the world and then distance yourself from it," he wrote. He also prai

Image
Some parts of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos has been thrown into darkness for over three hours without any explanation from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).  Sahara Reporters at the international wing of the airport observed that the carousel area at the E-arrival  wing has been in darkness for major part of today without any solution to the problem by the engineers of FAAN. Also, the arrival area outside the terminal to the former car park, Home-tel, which is now used as a staff car park for FAAN officials, limousines and cab operators is also in total darkness. Passengers arriving from international destinations are made to trek to the car park in darkness, which is over 300 meters from the terminal, thereby exposing them to danger. FAAN had deployed a bus to the arrival terminal to convey passengers to and from the car park, but only one out of the four buses is operational at the moment, a situation, which makes

How to apply nail polish properly

Image
Trim and file your nails.   Before you begin to paint your nails, it's important that you create the desired shape of your nails. Trimming them to the length that you want them and smoothing out the edges with a nail file will help you achieve a prettier, polished look, and will prevent your nails from chipping as quickly. When you file your nails, make sure to move the nail file in one direction. You don't want to saw your nails back and forth, as this can create jagged edges and lead to splitting, breaking, and pealing. Focus on moving the file from left to right, gently swiping the edge of your nail as you go across it. Buff your nails  To achieve a polished look on your nails and remove any ridges in your nails, use a four-way buffer. Make sure to move the buffer in an X pattern, and don't over-buff your nails as this can create too much friction, which will build up heat, resulting in weak nails. Make sure when you buff your nails that

Not only will the colors be all muddled together, but a precise technique is rendered way more complicated — the bristles are already overloaded with
