Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has joined French Ligue two club, FC Amiens, on a season loan deal from Latvian set Valmieras SC.

He was handed the No.9 jersey at the club.

Star Tv learnt that Amiens have the choice of making his stay permanent should the 20-year-old forward galvanize in France.

The 6ft4in tall Arokodare came to the limelight in the Latvian topflight last season after scoring sixteen times in 15 games for Valmieras.

He spent part of last season on loan at Bundesliga club, FC Koln, after enduring a tough time at the club where he failed to score a goal in 12 league games.

His form made the German set drop their alternative to convert his temporary spell to a permanent one.
