A Smiling Bill Cosby has been seen for the first time since his release from prison

The 83-year-old actor served just two of his three to 10 year sentence after being found responsible of drugging and molesting ex basketball player Andrea Constand.

On Wednesday, Pennsylvania's Supreme Court voted to overturn the conviction saying there had been a 'process violation' by the prosecution, meaning certain legal regulations had not been followed.

Cosby - once regarded as 'America's Dad' - #.was able to leave jail the same day his sentence was overturned

He arrived at his home in Philadelphia with a smile on his face after being driven from jail in a convoy.

After being helped out of the car, Cosby beamed and threw up a victory sign for the waiting cameras.

A press conference was held afterward where Cosby appeared but did not speak.

Publicist Andrew Wyatt informed reporters: "What we saw today was justice. Justice for all Americans.

"Mr Cosby's conviction being overturned is for the world."

Cosby's sentencing in 2018 had been seen as a main milestone in the #MeToo movement.

Dozens of ladies spoke out to accuse Cosby of abuse, on the other hand he was only tried criminally for offences toward Ms Constand.

He was found responsible of three counts of legal indecent assault against the Canadian basketball star.

They met in 2002 when Constand was working at Temple University in Philadelphia. She stated the veteran actor became a 'mentor' to her.

Speaking during Cosby's trial, Constand recalled becoming 'frozen' after being drugged and molested at Cosby's home in 2004.

She went to the police about the incident in 2005 but no criminal charges were pressed.

A yr later, Constand sued the actor for sexual assault and defamation, attaining a confidential settlement in 2006.

In 2014 and 2015 different ladies shared comparable stories of drugging and sexual abuse via Cosby and Ms Constand's case was reopened.

Cosby's first trial in 2017 ended in mistrial when the jury failed to attain a verdict.

At a 2nd trial in 2018, Cosby was found responsible of drugging and molesting Ms Constand and sentenced to three to 10 years behind bars

However, the conviction was overturned by a Supreme Court this week after judges found that testimony from accusers unrelated to the case had influenced Cosby's trial.

After the ruling, Cosby's spokesperson Andrew Wyatt informed journalists the newly-freed actor was once planning a dinner of salmon and pizza for his first meal on the outside.

He informed reporters: “He wishes to have a crunchy pizza and just the taste of it.”
