Four Kids Amongst 7 Injured In DuSable Lake Shore Drive Crash In The Gold Coast Neighborhood

Seven people, including 4 children, were injured in a crash on Jean Baptiste Point DuSable Lake Shore Drive Sunday night in the Gold Coast, according to police and the Chicago Fire Department.


A police spokeswoman stated there were at least three motors involved in the chain reaction crash but the crash report had not been finalized as of Monday morning so details remained scarce.


A Dodge traveling north in the 1500 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive hit another Dodge at 6:25 p.m. Sunday, officers said. The second Dodge then struck a Lexus. Kellie Bartoli, a police spokeswoman, stated she did not have access to the report to see what mannequin the vehicles were.


There were at least 10 people in the three vehicles, according to the Fire Department, which stated the crash occurred in the 1600 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.


Among the injured were three adults. Two were in good-to-serious condition and one was in serious-to-critical condition and all were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.


Four kids also were injured, but ages were not available for them, officials said. Three were in good-to-serious condition and one was in serious-to-critical condition and they were all taken to Lurie Children’s Hospital.
