Marist High School College Students Protest After Friends Knelt At Some Point Of A Spanish-Language Music At Homecoming: ‘We Feel Unsafe’

For the past 3 years, Elizabeth Pacheco, a junior at Marist High School, has felt at domestic on the Roman Catholic faculty.

But on the homecoming dance on Friday night, she stated she felt that a collection of her friends “blatantly disrespected” her lifestyle and the relaxation of the Latino college students with the aid of using kneeling withinside the center of the dance ground as a signal of protest whilst a Spanish-language music started out to play.
