A House Fire In Nottingham Has Claimed The Lives Of A Man And A Woman

Emergency services were dispatched to the blaze in Whittier Road, Sneinton, at 00:43 GMT on Saturday, according to Nottinghamshire Police.

The structure, a terraced house, was "severely damaged," and neighbors were evacuated while firefighters battled the blaze.

The couple was pronounced dead at the site, and a joint fire and police investigation is underway, according to the force.

Police said the man and woman had not been formally recognized when they were summoned to Whittier Road in the early hours of Saturday.
