Raheem Sterling's Best Response To Selection Query As Gary Lineker Sends Message

Raheem Sterling's best response to selection query

Raheem Sterling had a brilliant response when quizzed on his selection against Germany after he produced yet more heroics for England.

Sterling, 26, faced criticism in advance of Euro 2020 after an underwhelming season with Manchester City and Gareth Southgate's decision to start him in opposition to Die Mannschaft raised eyebrows amongst some fans.

That is despite the winger scoring both of England's goals in the crew stage of the tournament, in 1-0 victories over Croatia and Czech Republic.

When asked if he justified his selection during a post-match interview, Sterling actually repeated the query with an astonished look on his face.

"Have I justified my selection?!" he stated in a clip shared by former England striker Ian Wright on Twitter, before staring into space in a quite bemused manner.

After his interview, Sterling took to Twitter to write: "Love to all the followers supporting at home and all the fans at Wembley stadium, you have been with us all the way."
