After Being Kidnapped By A Man She Met On Roblox, A Young Girl Has Returned

Image
After allegedly being kidnapped by a man she met on the children's game app Roblox, a 13-year-old girl has been safely returned home. Howard Graham was detained, according to police, when they discovered he had persuaded the little girl to leave her home in Kansas after only two days of communicating on the app. Sex trafficking, kidnapping, and rape have all been filed against the 33-year-old. Roblox allows users to play with their friends or random strangers. It is one of the most popular children's games in the world, with over 150 million monthly users. Mr Graham and the little girl originally met on the app on February 18th, according to Police Cpt John Ivey. Investigators say the teenager stole out of her Topeka home two days later and was reportedly picked up by Mr Graham, who transported her 900 miles to his residence in Clayton County, Georgia. Police said she was sexually attacked "several times" over the next few days, according to them. The girl eventually

A Tennis Star Has Returned To Ukraine To Assist In The Fight Against The Russians, He Kept It A Secret From His Children

Image
Sergiy Stakhovsky, a Ukrainian tennis player, was on holiday in Dubai with his family when Russian forces invaded his homeland. He made the difficult decision to leave his wife and three small children behind in Hungary and return to fight in his nation. He is now a reserve in the Ukrainian army, assisting in the defense of Kyiv, the country's capital. As a Russian military convoy approaches the city and fear fills the air, Stakhovsky, 36, says he is ready to go to any length. On Thursday, he stated that his purpose is to assist in the saving of Ukraine for its population and his children. "I was born here, my grandparents are buried here, and I'd like to be able to tell my kids about the past," he said. "No one wants Russia to free them; they already have freedom and democracy... Russia wants to bring despair and poverty to them." Stakhovsky had only recently announced his retirement from professional tennis at the Australian Open, capping an 18-year career

Biden Has Promised To Seize The Yachts Of Russian Oligarchs

Image
The ships, which may be as long as a football field and contain helipads and swimming pools, have appeared in ports all over the world, towering above surrounding fishing vessels and motorboats like giants. Russian billionaires' yachts, which include some of the world's largest and most opulent "superyachts," are dazzling emblems of how Russia's rich have thrived under President Vladimir Putin's rule. As Russian forces intensify their deadly war campaign in Ukraine, the yachts are becoming a target for the US and its European allies, who have vowed to take property owned by Putin's cronies. French investigators seized a yacht Wednesday night that they said was related to Igor Sechin, a sanctioned Russian oil executive and close Putin confidant, as it prepared to escape a port. The ship's management business, on the other hand, denied that Sechin was the owner. Near addition, the White House announced that German officials had taken another oligarch'

Gavin Williamson, The Former Secretary Of State For Education, Will Be Knighted

Image
Gavin Williamson, the former defence secretary and education secretary, will be knighted. In September's reshuffle, the Conservative MP for South Staffordshire was fired from the cabinet. Mr Williamson received calls to resign from the opposition over his management of the pandemic's disruption to England's schools and tests. The 45-year-old, who worked in manufacturing before joining politics, formerly served as the government's main whip. He was awarded a CBE in 2016 for his political and public service, and his knighthood is believed to be for the same reasons. Mr Williamson was initially elected to Parliament in 2010, and under Prime Minister Theresa May, he became chief whip, in charge of Conservative Party discipline, in 2016. He famously maintained a pet tarantula named Cronus on his desk while in that position. Mrs May appointed Mr Williamson as defence secretary in 2017, a position he held until 2019, when she fired him, claiming she had "lost faith in his

Following Russia's Invasion Of Ukraine, The UK Has Imposed Sanctions On Two More Russian Oligarchs, Alisher Usmanov And Igor Shuvalov

Image
Mr Shuvalov served as the deputy prime minister of Russia under President Vladimir Putin and is now the chairman of a Russian bank's management board. Their assets will be frozen, and they will be barred from entering the UK under the new limitations imposed by the UK government. They will not be able to deal with British citizens or enterprises. "We will continue to utilize every power we have to inflict maximum economic pain on Putin and his war machine as long as he continues his barbarous onslaught on innocent Ukrainians," Boris Johnson stated. "We won't stop here," Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said, "our goal is to destroy the Russian economy and starve Putin's war machine." The two men had "major interests in the UK and close ties to the Kremlin," according to the authorities. Mr. Usmanov formed the USM Holding corporation, which owns iron, steel, and copper suppliers as well as the Megafon telecommunications company. Mr Usmanov

Chelsea Is For Sale, According To Roman Abramovich, Who Also Writes Off £1.5 Billion In Debt

Image
Roman Abramovich has confirmed that Chelsea is for sale, bowing to mounting pressure to end his ownership of the club. The Russian acted after a new call in parliament on Wednesday for him to face penalties for the invasion of Ukraine, and a group led by billionaires Hansjörg Wyss and Todd Boehly has already expressed interest. At least one other firm, according to sources, is planning to make a bid this week. All net revenues – assumed to be the money from any sale minus legal fees – will be spent "for the benefit of all victims of the war in Ukraine," according to Abramovich. The first sign of interest came when Swiss billionaire Wyss said that he had been invited to join a group. The 86-year-old, who is estimated to be worth £4.3 billion, has teamed up with Boehly, a part-owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball franchise who is worth an estimated £5 billion. There are several additional investors involved, at least two of them are believed to be from the United States. I

A Divorced Couple Was Discovered Dead In The Cotswolds Near Cheltenham

Image
At two different places, a divorced couple was found stabbed to death. The distance between them is 15 miles (24 kilometers). Police discovered the corpse of Clive Warrington, 67, at Sherborne Place in Cheltenham at 06:25 GMT. Soon after, officers discovered the death of his ex-wife, Valerie Warrington, 73, at a house in the Cotswolds' Bourton-on-the-Water. In connection with both fatalities, a man from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The individual was known to the victims, according to Supt Roddy Gosden of Gloucestershire Police, and they were not seeking for anyone else at the time. He urged anyone with information to contact him. The victim's residence on Sherborne Place, where his body was discovered early this morning, is only 200 yards (182m) from John Lewis in the heart of Cheltenham. As a result, motorists weaving their way between police cordons had to be patient as they watched a dozen or so cops in red jackets searching for clues and calling on

To Avoid Misunderstandings During "Heightened Tensions" In Ukraine, The US Has Canceled A Planned Missile Test

Image
During a briefing at the Pentagon on Wednesday, Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said that US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin canceled a planned test of the Minute Man III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile that was originally scheduled for this week to avoid "any actions that could be misunderstood or misconstrued" during heightened tensions with Russia. "The secretary of defense has requested that our minute man three intercontinental ballistic missile test launch slated for this week be postponed to demonstrate that we have no intention of engaging in any conduct that could be misunderstood or misconstrued," Kirby said. According to Kirby, the secretary made this decision in light of the "heightened tensions" produced by Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Russian President Vladimir Putin's warning earlier this week that Russian nuclear forces were on high alert. The US military is canceling the ICBM test to "show" that it is a "re

According To Sources, The US Delivered Hundreds Of Stinger Anti-Aircraft Missiles To Ukraine This Week

Image
According to a US official and a congressional source briefed on the topic, the US has sent hundreds of Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine for the first time in the recent few days, including over 200 on Monday. The US granted the green light earlier this year to Baltic countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to deliver American-made weaponry to Ukraine, including Stingers. However, until now, the Biden administration had resisted sending the Stingers directly to Ukraine, despite providing other dangerous weapons. For months, some members of Congress have pushed for more Stinger missiles to be supplied to Ukraine. On Wednesday, US Secretary of State Tony Blinken assured reporters that Ukraine can still obtain "critical defensive military equipment" that it requires. The US produces several versions of Stingers, and US officials have been careful not to provide the Ukrainians the most recent model in case they slip into the hands of Russians looking to steal US

Despite Scarcely Playing, Tiger Woods Gets A $8 Million Reward For Stimulating Media Interest

Image
Tiger Woods has been awarded $8 million (£5.99 million) for generating more media interest than any other golfer in 2021, despite the fact that he only competed in one tournament. Woods is the PGA Tour's first Player Impact Program winner (PIP). The program was created to reward athletes who increased interest in the American circuit. Despite not playing an official tour event in over a year, the former world number one has a lifetime earnings on the tour of more than $120 million (£89.96 million). In 2021, he only competed in an exhibition parent-child event in December. Although tour officials first said that the PIP findings would not be made public, the 10 players who benefitted were revealed in a communication to PGA Tour members. Phil Mickelson incorrectly claimed in December that he had won the largest portion of the $40 million prize pool. He came in second to Woods and was awarded $6 million. With his triumph at the US PGA last year, the 51-year-old became the oldest major
