Banky W reacts to ‘sale’ of reality show ticket

Nigerian R&B singer and actor, Oluwabankole Wellington, aka Banky W, has raised an alarm over a fake campaign on social media.

The campaign is demanding people to pay N5,000 to be in a reality show with his family.

Reports on social media had claimed that fans and followers were being scammed into a fake reality show with the star singer.

Reacting to the development, The ‘Wedding Party’ star advised Nigerians to not pay any sum, as such information was a scam.

Banky, on his official twitter handle wrote, ”I hear there’s yet another scam on Facebook.. charging 5k to be in a reality show by the Wellingtons. Please ignore, it is a complete scam.

”Please do not send any body money to be in any tv show or to join any label, it is a scam’.’

The ongoing National Identification Number (NIN) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) integration exercise has been extended by 8 weeks, with a new deadline of April 6, 2021. This message was conveyed by the Honorable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali  Ibrahim during the meeting of the Ministerial Taskforce on NIN-SIM registration which held on the 1st of February 2021.  Dr. Pontami stated that the extension is to give Nigerians and legal residents more time to integrate their NIN with the sim. The use of a so-called VIP lane by the government to give PPE contracts to two businesses during the first COVID wave was illegal, according to the High Court. The challenge was brought by campaign groups the Good Law Project and EveryDoctor, who claimed that the bid procedure gave people with political ties unfair preferential treatment. They sued over contracts worth more than £340 million issued to pest control service PestFix in 2020, as well as a deal for roughly £252 million to hedge fund Ayanda Capital.
