Boris Johnson Says: Vladimir Putin Uses Barbaric Tactics
Boris Johnson said Vladimir Putin engaged in "barbaric and indiscriminate" tactics against civilians.
The Prime Minister said that the Russian President had "underestimated" the will of the Ukrainian people to fight and the determination of the West.
Speaking during a visit to Poland, he also said the UK had spent £220 million on humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State Liz Truss said "nothing and no one is on the table" for more sanctions.
The UK is considering seeking to expel Russia from the UN Security Council, according to the BBC.
Mr Johnson said he was "increasingly confident" that an invasion of Russia would not succeed, adding that Mr Putin "must fail" in his goals in Ukraine.
During a press conference with his Polish counterpart Mateusz Morawiecki in Warsaw, the Polish capital, he said that Putin is ready to "bomb towers, launch rockets into towers, kill children, as we see more and more. ".
On the sixth day of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, strikes have continued on multiple fronts, although the Russian advance has been delayed by Ukrainian resistance, according to reports.
Earlier, Russia struck a TV tower in Kyiv, killing five people, according to Ukrainian officials.
Hundreds of civilians have also been killed by missiles and rockets in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest city, and satellite photographs show a massive armoured convoy marching towards Kyiv.
Mr Johnson said the international community must do everything it can to protect Ukrainians, but that "we will not battle Russian forces in Ukraine" during a news conference in Tallinn with the Estonian prime minister and the Nato secretary-general.
He said that the UK did not actively encourage its nationals to enlist to fight in Ukraine and that a no-fly zone over the country was not an option.
In order to protect people, Ukraine has requested assistance in enforcing a no-fly zone, which would be aimed to stop Russian jet raids.
